Skills Required: Provide the “hub” of support for the Executive Director, the Women’s Business Leaders (WBL) Director, and assist the Birmingham City Director as needed. Responsible for organizing and scheduling workload in such a way that maximum office efficiency is achieved for each ministry. Independent worker that is able to make wise decisions and implement them accordingly. Willing to creatively launch projects and carry them through to completion. Maintain a database with Shelby, Mailchimp, and Paperless post for invitations.•Assist with follow-up and contact for all events via Shelby and Excel. Track attendance and maintain statistics for all events.•Coordinate website management.•Coordinate minutes, meeting times, information for Board meetings, and discipleship leader’s meetings.•Assist the Executive Director with pastoral and congregational community responsibilities. Type, proof, and send letters to supporters, discipleship leaders, and committee heads as well as maintain general correspondence to members and the community. Assist directors with the implementation of fundraising strategies and events. Maintain a master calendar and plan ahead concerning upcoming projects and events. Responsible for support maintenance, communication, and gifts.•Assist with tracking financial records for audit purposes.

Minimum Education Required: Some College

Required Certifications or Licenses: Proficiency in Microsoft operating systems: focusing upon Word, Publisher, and Excel. Experience with web design and development, such as WordPress website builder. Receive and effectively carry out oral and written communications. Familiarity with general office procedures and equipment. Proficiency in office routine with attention to detail. Although not required, a ministry mindset provides a clearer objective of the YBL ministries along with the added advantage of opportunities for sharing the Gospel, Bible studies, and discipleship. Major responsibilities include: Responsible for all administrative correspondence (writing, editing, proofing documents, maintaining emails, memos, etc.). Assist with even planning and execution for all ministry initiatives:banquets, fundraising, and other events. Miscellaneous phone calls, weekly communications, i.e. blogs, Pray4YBL, and monthly newsletters. Assist with end of year gifts, support maintenance, quarterly supplies. Promote ministry through the website, Mailchimp, social media. Working with Briarwood Personnel. Assistance with financial recording, support tracking.

Minimum Relevant Experience: Entry Level

Additional Details:
A college degree is desired but not required. Experience in event planning. As the first contact for YBL Ministries, has the ability to connect well with all types of people. General working knowledge of Scripture (names, places, doctrine, etc.). Basic understanding of support raising and handling finances is helpful.
